Yippee! I love color challenges, and this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments was a festive and fun one! We were asked to use Pear Pizzaz, Cajun Craze, and More Mustard. (And yes, I totally cheated by using Crumb Cake for the tree. I had to! I needed a brown for the trunk!!) ;)
Additionally, I also tried to stay 100% SU since the HSS Blog is run by a group of fabulous SU Demos. They do not require that at all, but I thought it would be fun to try. I think I did pretty well minus the Dew Drops!!
I have been challenged by a friend to make some one layer cards. Eeekkk! Those really challenge me creatively as well as layout wise. There is no room to hide! So I thought I would give it a run with this set. What do you think?
Stamps: Branch Out, Happy Harmony (SU)
Paper: Very Vanilla. Period. :)
Ink: Pear Pizzaz, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Pear RIbbon (SU), Stickles, Dew Drops, Clear Embossing Powder (for the sentiment)
Thanks for stopping by today!

So pretty! I'm not good with the one layer... I need layers to hide ends and ink! Love the fallen leaves!

Beautiful fall tree! Simple but Stunning! Thanks for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
This one is gorgeous. I need to make more of these one layer cards. The first one scares me--but after that enjoy them.
Lovely one layer card! I don't know if I have ever made a one layer card. Stampin' Up! needs dew drops!
I am also very scared of the dreaded "one-layer card". But you have inspired me with this one. So gorgeous with all of the pretty fall colors! :)
