Smooching & an Award!

To start, I have a card for you today that I made a while back. (I am sooo behind in my posts! **sigh** Maybe once the kids are in school, I will have some semblance of sanity and can be more timely!)

I love SU's Upsy Daisy set, but due to its popularity I was trying to think of a unique way to use it. The "kissing" technique came to mind. (Isn't that a darling name?! Makes me giggle every time!)

Stamps: Upsy Daisy & Paisley BG (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point
Ink: Versamark, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point
Accessories: Tangerine Tango Ribbon, Silver Brads, Clear EP

To make this card, I inked up my background stamp with Tangerine Tango, used that like a stamp pad and laid the Upsy Daisy stamp on it. This transferred the ink to Upsy Daisy, and then I stamped that on my Whisper White. (Since I wanted to use Clear EP, I actually inked Upsy Daisy with versamark first.)

Last but certainly not least, I never cease to be amazed that someone would want to give me an award. :) I am the one who is truly awarded every time I visit all of my blogging buddies! Thank you Holly and Amy! You made my day brighter!
Now, for the "rules":
  • Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.
  • Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.
Here is my list:

The kissing (giggle giggle) looks fab on this set and you have made a totally adorable card.
I will email you on Tuesday and let you know what the gender result is but you have to be shhhhh secret squirrel and not say anything on my blog as I want to keep it a secret from my family and friends here.

What a beautiful card! Of course, I got it in the mail, so I know it's even prettier IRL!!! I am going to try the kissing technique with VersaMark tonight when I get some stamp time. I have been dying to try it since you sent me this beauty!

Very nice color combo, so nice! It's hard to stay inside and stamp when you have little ones that need your attention.

Thanks for the award. I appreciate it. I haven't been a very good blogger lately though, but I'm trying to get back on track. My friends daughter and her two kids have moved in with us so I am adjusting to having even more people in my house. Thanks so much for the beautiful birthday card. It is super pretty. I have it on my desk at work so I can enjoy it all day.

I love your upsy daisy card. I just pulled this set out and made a bunch of cards the other night. I'll be posting them soon.

You're right, it is a popular stamp set. But, good for you, you have used it in an original way! I don't think I've seen it 'kissed' before and certainly not paired with paisley...bravo! Now, I am a little behind online....I was behind in blogging, behind in checking everyone's blogs out, etc. So, now that I'm back, I'm visiting the fun blogs I like and what do I find??? An award, for me?? THANKS!!! :>:> You just made my day! :>
