Yes, I am Alive

I have a good excuse, DH just left for a 6 month deployment!! While this is a short time away compared to my Army friends, it initially takes me some time to adjust to his departure. Additionally, as you can imagine, the kids have some adjusting to do as well which equates to more behavioral issues that we typically experience. This, too, shall pass!! (And is much easier to handle with an adult beverage at dinner! Ha Ha)

I promise to post something crafty in the next day or so, but in the meantime Maria has a fun challenge posted on her blog! I wanted to play along, even I was comment #101! So here it goes:

The first 5 people to comment on this post will receive something made by me. But there is a catch... Here are the rules:

1. It's my choice what to make... and you won't know what it will be until you get it!
2. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make, but I hope you do!
3. What I create will be just for you - completely original. :)
4. It will be done this year. (That's what the rule says, but I'll try to get these done by May or I might forget...and that will be no good!)
5. Now for the catch. The catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same giveaway to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. It's all about sharing the love! Be sure to come here and post a link, cuz I WILL check your blog! *wink*

Am I first? Comment moderating is a tricky thing, lol.

Hi Siobhan!

Thanks for taking up the challenge. I'm not signing up otherwise I'll go crazy thinking of something creative for everyone! *lol*

Btw, I love your name! We've thought about naming our daughter that if we ever have children.

Anywhooo...you have a great day and I'll "chat" with you again soon!

Don't count me either, although getting something from you would be fabulous!!! I will be saving up plastic tubes to make some "Beta" Contraptions and you are one of the "special" people on my list. Don't hold your breath tho cause it takes 6 tubes and I only go through 1 a month!!!LOL!!! You'll love it tho. You can make tiny to huge bows on it by just moving the dowels.

Hey! I'd love to do this on my blog, it sounds like fun! Doing it for 5 people would not be overwhelming and sometimes I run out of reasons to make stuff...LOL!!! I am sorry to hear about your husband being deployed, if you didn't live so far away I would come hang out and keep you company! Kind of hard to do overseas, huh?

Ok, we'll see if I make the cut :-) How exciting would it be to have a mama monkey original LOL

Missing you! I'll walk through Target and think of you!

OK, I am not in for the challenge because I don't think I am capable of making anything cool. So not creative, but I did want to comment on the post. My brother is in the army so I am a bit familiar with all that involves. Will be thinking of you and hope the time passes quickly!
