I had purchased these circles from CTMH with full intention of using them for the spotlight technique. (I will not disclose how long ago I made this purchase, for fear it will really showcase my hoarding problem! But I will say I have not had them as long as the stamps!!)
To get the color only in the area where I needed it to be, I punched a 1 1/4 inch circle out of some scrap paper. I used the paper with the circle hole in it as a template, laying it over the image and colored within the circle. It worked out really well!
I really like these circles, because they do seem to pop the image!
When I proudly showed my creation to DH, he asked "aren't you going to color the whole thing?" **sigh** I don't think he will ever "get it"!

I love this card and how the circle area is highlighted.
This is a really cool technique and you executed it perfectly. Lol, re: your DH's remark. I get stuff like that all the time too! That is why we need friends that make cards too!
spotlight's look awesome! love the ribbon on this :)
I really like this card! It looks so awesome! LOL at your hubby's remark! Mine does the same thing!
That is such a cute technique! Thanks for sharing it. I can't wait to try it out! I understand the hoarding (ahem, I mean collecting). . .

What a pretty card! I have some of those circles too-from making memories or something. I'm sure they're at least as old as yours and I am not even sure where they are! lol. Funny about your dh-mine would probably say the same thing.
This technique is wonderful looking I just love the spotlight on the image...I really want to come to your house and take a peek at all your stamps...I'm really loving this one too...
Very, very nice! I like the spotlighting.
I am looking for this stamp set - do you know how much it orginally costs?
Thanks
So creative! I love the idea of only coloring that one area, it looks really cool like that. I laughed out loud at the comment about your husband- it's so true!
Cool card! I really like your idea and the technique you used. That is a good stamp to use it on.
