Today I saw snow flurries from my office window...I am already thinking about spring and next summer! A girl can dream, no? Hence this bookmark that will allow me to escape winter while reading one of my favorite authors...
Speaking of, who is your favorite author? I think my all time favorite for "beach reads" is Janet Evanovich! What a riot...her books always put a smile on my face and more often than not, I end up with a full-up belly laugh out loud!
At any rate, I had fun with this one...made the background sky paper from scratch using a sponge dauber which was like magic! The kite is paper pieced and elevated using a dimensional. And...I actually used that horded jumbo brad...**sigh** It is difficult to let go sometimes!!
And...I made this for the following challenges:
-Use It Tuesday: Metal
-Crafts and Me: Orange
-Art Impressions: make a tag or bookmark
-Stamp Insanity: Anything but a card
-Crafty Cardmakers: Anything Goes
-Heartsong Inspirations: Sponged background
-Hooked on Craft Challenges: Anything but a Card
-Make it Monday: Anything Goes
-Woodware: Anything Goes
-Sentimental Sundays: Anything Goes + a sentiment
-Stampin' Sisters in Christ: Anything Goes
May you all have a blessed week! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, p.s....forgot to mention. My favorite author is Diana Gabaldon.
Hi Siobhan! LOVE your happy tag! Makes me smile too! It's hard to believe you're seeing snow flurries when it's in the 70s here but I guess way up there you see LOTS of the white stuff! So glad to have you join us at Stampin Sisters in Christ this week! We love seeing you! You'd laugh at me but I made a card for Use it Tues. a few weeks ago and when I went to link it.... it was closed. LOL! That's me... a day late... oh well... good intentions!
Adorable bookmark! You did a great job on your sky! I completely understand parting with some of those favorite embellishments.
Thanks for the birthday card ... I love it! My wish came true! :) Happy Belated Birthday to you!
great bookmark...and janet is a riot!
What an adorable bookmark - and we are in spring here in Australia so you'd fit right in! I keep meaning to try a Janet Evanovich - and now that you've said they're funny I'll definitely give them a go! ;) I read Paige Toon at the beach - light-hearted and fun (and I went to school with her so have to give her a plug LOL!) Thanks for joining our Heart Song Inspirations challenge this week!

what a great bookmark. i love how you used the sky paper along the edge (why is it I have been on the search for sky paper and can't seem to find any)
I so love this Siobella! What size is it do you remember? Don't have a kite stamp but I am sure I can improvise.
What a fantastic bookmark. Favourite author - Anne Tyler, I think.
