Spring Has Sprung...

The challenge this week at Scrap, Stamp & Doodle Saturday is Spring has Sprung! Has it sprung where you are? Not so much here...but rumor has it we don't really get a spring. It kinda goes from snow to summer! Oh summer, please get here! ;)

I keep my card sweet and simple this week. I just love the look of pink and green on kraft paper!

I hope you play along! There is a great prize for the winner, so check the blog for all the details!

As a side note, many of you know I just recently moved from Japan to Alaska. My heart is breaking watching the devastation from the earthquake and tsunami. Please keep the Japanese people in your thoughts and prayers during the period of aftershocks, loss, and rebuilding.

Stamps: PTI Blooming Button Bits, Handwritten Notes
Paper: Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery DSP, DCWV patterned paper
Ink: Versafine Black
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Nestabilities, SU Buttons, Karen Foster Scrapbook Floss, SU Ribbon, CM Circle Punch

I have been thinking about you with the earthquake in Japan and then wondering if a tsunami would hit Alaska as it went to the other side of the ocean. This is a cute card! And for our challenge tomorrow I finally got up my courage to use that stamp you sent me from Japan a while back . . . I was always afraid to try to color it! So pretty!

What a great card. I love pink & green together and adding it to kraft I think makes it an even better color combo! I feel so bad for everyone in Japan and all that they are going through. I hope all of your friends that are still there are safe. (((hugs)))

Beautiful colors against the kraft -- the simplicity is delightful. It can be spring in your heart -- and that will keep you warm until you come to summer! -- so sayeth a born in the cold person.
