Time to Relax!
Ahhh...it is now time to relax, put my feet up, and take a breather before the big move! Our household goods were packed up, crated, and hopefully on their journey to Alaska. They are saying it can take up to 3 months to get there.
Did you hear that primal scream? That was me freaking out about being apart from my beloved paper for that long...
At any rate, this is a card I created for a friend before the pack out. It is based on an old SCS sketch. I loved the colors, which were inspired by the ribbon.
My supply lists are going to be limited until Fall, as I don't have my stock to refer to when making them. Please bear with me!
Stamps: PTI; Paper: SU; Ink: SU; Accessories: American Crafts ribbon, Robin's Nest Dew Drops, CB Embossing Folder, Clear EP
Thanks for dropping by today!!

Oh, one last beautiful creation before your crafting break! Well I wish you lots of luck with the move! I had a military friend who lived in Alaska, I think she may still be there ???? I need to check that! Anyways, good luck with everything!!!! You'll be settled in before football season, right!! Wonder if they'll show any Niners games up there!!!!! OMG, You'll probably get the damn Seahawks games!!! SHHH, don't tell Karen that! haaaaaaaaaa
great card. Glad to hear the hard part is over, well the hard part except for the waiting for everything to get there. I remember that from when I was a kid and my Dad was a Marine. When we moved to Hawaii it took forever for our stuff to get there.
Hey sweetie, I don't know i I could bear being without my stuff for that long! Imagine when you do open it though, won't it be just like Christmas??? Best of luck with your move!
Love what you did with this layout and colors. Great card and glad you can relax some now, good luck on the move
Oh, but just imgaine the reunion with your paper!!!! LOL!
This is a great card..I noticed the ribbon colors first thing! And I like the steamy cuttlebug swirls with the coffee. :)
So, which supplies did you keep with you? I can't even imagine what "minimal supplies" would look like!
That is so funny that you happened to leave a comment at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I was just taking to Erin yesterday about you. We wanted to have you as a guest designer and I told them to wait because you either just moved or were about to. I thought your destination was Ohio for some reason. So glad everything is going well. Moving stinks, but glad you kept stamps out for therapy:) Good Luck and let us know when you're settled.
Fabulous card! I hope you survive well without your supplies readily at hand. I hope it doesn't take 3 months for your stuff to get to you. I'd scream too!!!! I love how you limited the embossing to the circle...very cool effect!
Oh, and good luck with the move! I told DH I have no desire to move anytime soon. We've been in our house for 2 1/2 years and I just unpacked the last two boxes and hung up the few remaining pictures I'd not found a spot for yet. LOL
So glad to hear that you can kick back a little now. Packing/moving is no picnic, never mind a move that far. Wishing you all the best with the move and I hope your paper arrives sooner rather than later :) Love the card!
That's adorable. I love how the curly embossing looks like the steam!
This is a fabulous sketch and I love what you did with it. I am terrible at using sketches.
This is stinkin' gorgeous - I love the colors & the layout!!
3 months?!?! I'd be freaking out too...hopefully everything will be there waiting for you to arrive!
Love the card, great colors and as always, beautifully crafted!
I wish you luck with the move. I can't imagine having to wait that long for your stuff to get there, especially with children.
Love it, I feel your pain, can't stand the "separation anxiety" that comes with pack outs and waiting for household goods shipments LOL
Wow. That embossed circle is PERFECT! And the cup of coffee takes the cake. Of course, you know me and coffee. Rarely is a cup not in my hand. This card is fantastic!
