HSSABAC9: Dream a Little

First and foremost, Happy Easter! I hope everyone is having a relaxing and enjoyable day. I was lucky enough to hear squeals of delight at 5 am today. (And yes, that was my attempt at sarcasm. It is all I can muster up right now...I am sooo tired!)

At any rate, the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week was to create anything but a card. At first, I was a little frightened...I mean, I don't alter things (intentionally anyway!), but then I remembered I do scrapbook...and clearly that is not a card! So yea for me because I have a ton of pages to get done. :)

Supplies: Stampin Up (cardstock), Patterned Paper (My Little Shoebox, Imagine a Forest Line), Provo Craft (Cricut Opposites Attract and Street Sign cartridges).

I added a piece of pink gingham ribbon to the left of the main image after I took this picture. That is a lot of embellishment for me! For some reason, I prefer my scrapbooks to be more clean than I make my cards. I think that is what starting out with CM does to you!

So, question for all you card makers who also scrap...do you have difficulty changing gears? I scrap completely different from how I make cards. It always takes me a while to get back into the groove with one or the other. I am just wondering how odd I am. (Ha Ha loaded question, I know!)

Thanks for hopping by! ;)

Great page! Funny that you forgot you scrapbook... the blogging world has made me forget that too. My scrapbooking style and card making styles are all over the place, so I don't have problems switching either way. Love all the colors and PP... so cute!

What an adorable picture! I do scrapbook and make cards differently. On my cards I love bright colors and will combine different patterns of paper, but when I scrapbook, I like to use lots of pictures so I go with more basic colors and don't mix too much.

You do an excellent job scrapbooking, this page looks marvelous. And I didn't have any squeals of joy on Easter morning, my daughter wasn't able to find her basket and I had to help her. The bunny was a bit too clever I guess.

Ohhh-this makes me long to scrapbook again! I am three years behind. After baby #2 I just didn't make it a priority. I really need to start again. Loved your layout. Thank you for sharing an joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

That is a beautiful layout!! And yes I have trouble-I make cards with stamps and markers and ink and I never use any of those things on my scrapbook pages.

5am...ugh!! well, I hope you gave them enough sugar for a little mid-morning crash aka mommy nap time!!

I'm lovin this page - the big scallop circle is fabulous!! love how you used two different sized scallops to create a terrific effect. Gotta try that...the scallop that is, scrapbooking scares me :)

I love love love this layout! I bet the ribbon looks great on it. I tend to add more to my scrapbook pages than I do my cards. I guess I'm just weird that way. I don't have too much trouble switching back and forth though.

Wonderful page, I love it! I haven't scrapped in months. I do tend to concentrate on one or the other. When I stepped up my Stampin' Up! business, my scrapping took a back seat to the cards. I have been getting the urge to scrap again lately.

Wow...love it! My scrapping and card making are not alike either, and it is tough to change gears...
