Snips and Snails

A blog buddy of mine recently adopted a baby boy, so I got to make a card for her!!
Stamps: Word on Word (SU)
Paper: DCWV Nana's Kids, Brocade Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Versamark, Brocade Blue
Accessories: Clear EP, Making Memories button brads

This stamp set, as with so many I have, had not ever seen ink! (How many of you are in that situation??) Anyway, I loved it! I can't wait to use it again!

Since we are speaking about new life...here is a new beginning for me! As many of you know, I have a little love-hate relationship with paper. Well, no...that is a lie; I just have a LOVE relationship! At any rate, Samantha and I are on a paper diet! We have challenged each other to create 100 projects before we purchase another piece of paper. I can totally do this! I will be updating my blog with my progress. Would you like to join the fun?

Paper Challenge: 10 projects complete/100 (7 scrapbook pages, 3 cards)
Thanks for dropping by!!

I love the card and I wish I could join the no-buy paper challenge. Could it be no-buy for personal use? I have to have new SU papers for my workshops and classes. I would so love to use up more of my stash. I have given a lot away but still have too much. I admire you and Samantha for doing this!

Oh what an adorable card! That's just the cutest paper and love the stamp! Boy can I identify about having stamps I have never used! I'd love to say I'd join you on the paper challenge but I just don't think I can! LOL! I'm an addict, I admit it!

First, I love the card. Next, I love your blog (the name is precious). And, finally, good luck to you and Sam on your challenge! I should try that, but I am just not ready. I guess that I haven't hit rock-bottom yet (LOL).

That is so nice, Siobhan. I am making her one tomorrow, was hoping to get it done sooner, but no time, I gotta cut for club tonight. This is so great!

PS..I already told Samantha, but you guys are NUTS! I could never do that, of course I don't have the paper you do either. But, you try to take away my punches, or the buying of new ones, and I am going to fight back...LOL!

ok Sio, we know your "LOVE" of paper. Me too. Do you mean "paper" paper, as in DP, or does that include Cardstock? Have to have the new "In" colors first doncha think? LOL.

As a couple of very WISE friends told me, I will be retiring in under 2 years so I have to collect as much bling and goodies as I can while I can.

Congratulations to your friend on her new son! Your card is adorable.

Paper diet, but is it possible to walk into a store and not buy paper? I mean, even though I have enough paper to give some to everyone in my city, I still buy more. I think it jumps into my basket when I am not looking!
