Magic Moments

I meant to post this over the weekend, but instead I spent hours upon hours watching my son's baseball tournament. It was fun, don't get me wrong...but after game 3 on Saturday I was DONE! :) They ended the season undefeated though! So fun!

We are lucky here, as the parents are actually supportive of the children on BOTH teams! It was so enjoyable to cheer along with the opposing team when a player who struggled all season made his or her first hit/catch. In my opinion, that is what kids' sports should be about...celebrating the accomplishments of the children no matter how big or small and fostering an environment where they develop self-esteem and healthy living habits through sports. I hope we can find such a program when we move back "home" next year.

Sorry for the soapbox! ;) Now, on to the layouts!!

(For my new blog readers...I know you may think my husband and I are a product of the 3M company. I assure you...in real life we are in fact human and NOT post-it notes! I just don't feel comfy with posting my kids pics on the internet...call me overprotective!! I know, I know...)

First one is of my kids' soccer pics from 2007. (Yes, 2007 is not a typo!)

Paper is Creative Memories. Cricut carts used are Street Sign, Opposites Attract, & Sports Mania.

Next is a layout of my daughter and our furbabies on the day we planted the spring flowers.

Paper is Magic Moments by CTMH.

No update for my Paper Challenge!! These layouts were counted previously!!

Are you calling me a slacker now? LOL Hurry! It is your chance to catch up!! You can do it!! Paper hoarders unite!! :)

As always, thanks for visiting!!

hmmmm....I always thought your kids had these amazingly round, expressionless faces :)...I think this is a very wise decision on your part and I'm sure 3M thanks you too!!

great layouts and I think I'm going to take the paper ho plunge! pray for me - I'll need it when I see the new DCWV fall & winter matstacks....that is if I don't get 100 projects done by then (now I'm dreamin')

Well I for one will remain a Paperho!
Do cards and making paper flowers count as using your paper or am I dreamin? I don't scrapbook but now that I bought the Expression I HAVE to invest in 12x12 SU CS don't I???????

Love the layout Sio especially the cricut lettering. Which cart has the grass? I like that touch. Way to go. And God Bless your yellow round faced children. LOL

I agree with you about kids sports - that's exactly the way it should be, fostering sportsmanship and individual progress instead of "let's see who can WIN BIG!"

I love your layouts! Your post-it note comments were cute too - it's all about what you're comfortable with regarding your family and that's perfect!

I really need to see if I can join in on your ongoing paper challenge...can I do it? We'll see...

A 3M family, how funny!!! I am not crazy about posting pics of my kids on my blog, I think I have only done it twice ever. After putting them up, I wondered about it, so I don't think you're crazy! Your LO's are amazing. And if you are up to 2007, you are a good bit ahead of me...LOL!

Terrific pages! Great composition and photos! Lol, about the 3M.
It's nice to hear that some parents have the right attitude in regards to the kid's sports. That is so much better for everyone involved.

Love your layouts, and I can't say that I blame you for not wanting to post your children's pics on the web! Love the pics of your Golden, she is beautiful!

I'm about to hit the post-it face world too! Maybe we are long lost post-it cousins and didn't know it!!!

Awesome layouts! That Magic Moments paper goes perfect with your flowery pages!

When I use pictures of my boys, usually, it's pictures of them when they were years younger. I'm trying to get a little more creative, though. See the following: http://bluecottonmemory.wordpress.com/2009/06/12/journey-through-a-stage/

My goal this year is doing great pictures without faces (for my blog, not my family album LOL)

Love the layouts, totally understand about posting your children on the web, I always get a lurch in my tummy when I do it. And no it isn't the baby.lol.

Wow! Great job with all these pages!!! You go girl!!! I totally understand your feelings on putting your kid's photos on the internet... you just never know. I am grappling with it myself... I have some fun vacation photos I'd love to share and then again, I wonder. So Mom... you are doing great!

I have left you something on my blog! Enjoy!

It is perfectly fine to still be scrapping pictures from 2007! Sounds very normal to me. Congrats to your son's team. I coached soccer for a couple of seasons and it is crazy how some parents can be! Great layouts too!

I know just what you mean about supportive parents. Your description brought back vivid memories of my son playing T-ball surrounded by cheering men in cammies, toting guns and counting bases! Military children lead very unique lives, don't they?
Love the layouts (i'm sure they are very cute children IRL!) I've also taken up the Paper ho plunge and have started counting projects. See what you have started!

Great layouts! Congrats to your kids team! What great parents you must have on both teams, to teach such sportsmanship. It seems like some parents put too much importance on the game and not the children having fun and learning!

Great layouts -- your children will really appreciate all your hard work if not now, later for sure!

I think I'm keeping track on your blog instead of mine of my paper challenge because every time I come here I'm reminded . . . let's see, I've done . . . 16 now. Not a tad bit of paper has entered my house except the kids' school notebooks.

And I absolutely agree about the kids' sports teams, I've had both types of parents and the kind supportive are much better than the mean, aggressive type!

I like the round faces . . . I was brave and posted one pic of my kids today on my blog, but most of them are adults and plaster themselves all over facebook anyway . . .and I'm going to take it down in a day or so. That edit feature you know.

These layouts are so cool--love them! The colors are awesome. I love being able to use up a lot of paper!

Those are great layouts!! Love the colors, especially, on the 2nd and 3rd. I love your kids too but they all look exactly the same...

cute pages. It is amazing how alike your kids look. All that yellow skin may be a bad thing though. You may want to get them checked for jaundice, lol.

I probably should be more careful but I try not to put anything on that might let people know where I live and I cover other peoples kids faces unless they have said it is okay to post pics of them.
