Scary...

...when you start to use craft supplies as your first line of home repair product options. Our wallpaper was starting to come off in a little area, so I stuck a glue dot on that stinker and viola! Fixed!

Now, if only there was something I could use to stop the kids from bickering...school starts in 82 hours...but who is counting? :)

Speaking of scary things...I just had to use this stamp for the Bellarific Friday Sketch this week! Don't you just love this little Beware house??!! It was part of the new releases and I had to have it! You can't really see it, but I put stickles and liquid glass in the windows.

And the sketch:

Stamps: Beware House (Stamping Bella), sentiment October Word Puzzle (CTMH)
Paper: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Lovely Lilac, PTI White, Creative Memories Halloween patterned paper
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Cats Eye charcoal for distressing
Accessories: SU Ribbon, Kaiser Pearls, Stickles and Liquid Glass in the windows, Cuttlebug Spiderweb Embossing Folder

Paper Challenge Update: 49/100 projects complete!

I know...only one more project than the last time...sad, sad progress, but I have been a little preoccupied. I will post about it later, but I kind of found a new hobby that has been stealing me away from the craft table! I know, I feel as if I have a mistress or something! Don't look down on me! LOL

As always, thanks for taking the time to visit my little piece of cyberspace!

007: Cricut Watermelons

My friend Carrie hosted a card swap recently. The mission: create a card using your Cricut! I chose to accept the mission, as I have never used my Cricut for anything but my scrapbooks! I know, I obviously need to get out more!

At any rate, I was literally shaking in my chair with the mere thought of not applying ink to anything on the card. I mean, is that even legal?? :) (To calm my nerves, I did manage to get some ink on there! LOL)

Here is my creation:

Stamps: PTI Vintage Picnic Sentiments
Paper: Kraft, Real Read, Basic Black, Whisper White, Glorious Green
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Mike's Ribbon, Cricut Doodlecharms

I am also honored to have been given another blog award! Grace sent this one to me. Thank you so much Grace! I am blessed to have met you through our wonderful Blog group!!

I am honored to pass this along to 5 other bloggers who have become part of my circle of friends! Choosing 5 is difficult, but here it goes:

Paper Challenge: 8 swap cards created, so I am now at 48/100 projects complete!! :)
Almost over the hump!!

This challenge has been fun, in a self-deprivation type of way! LOL Seriously, I have really been loving it! I am excited to have inspired many of you to join in the challenge. I am feeling a great sense of appreciation for the paper that is slowly disappearing from my stash! How about you?

Magic Moments

I meant to post this over the weekend, but instead I spent hours upon hours watching my son's baseball tournament. It was fun, don't get me wrong...but after game 3 on Saturday I was DONE! :) They ended the season undefeated though! So fun!

We are lucky here, as the parents are actually supportive of the children on BOTH teams! It was so enjoyable to cheer along with the opposing team when a player who struggled all season made his or her first hit/catch. In my opinion, that is what kids' sports should be about...celebrating the accomplishments of the children no matter how big or small and fostering an environment where they develop self-esteem and healthy living habits through sports. I hope we can find such a program when we move back "home" next year.

Sorry for the soapbox! ;) Now, on to the layouts!!

(For my new blog readers...I know you may think my husband and I are a product of the 3M company. I assure you...in real life we are in fact human and NOT post-it notes! I just don't feel comfy with posting my kids pics on the internet...call me overprotective!! I know, I know...)

First one is of my kids' soccer pics from 2007. (Yes, 2007 is not a typo!)

Paper is Creative Memories. Cricut carts used are Street Sign, Opposites Attract, & Sports Mania.

Next is a layout of my daughter and our furbabies on the day we planted the spring flowers.

Paper is Magic Moments by CTMH.

No update for my Paper Challenge!! These layouts were counted previously!!

Are you calling me a slacker now? LOL Hurry! It is your chance to catch up!! You can do it!! Paper hoarders unite!! :)

As always, thanks for visiting!!

Giddy Up!

Little know fact...I used to have a red Mustang convertible with a personalized license plate that said "Giddy Up" (and this was when I lived in Texas, which I think makes that plate extra cute!). We had to trade that car in for a vehicle that would fit a car seat after my son was born! It was totally worth it, but I miss my pony now and again!

Now that you all know about my need for speed, I can show you the card I made for the Bellarific Friday Sketch!

And the sketch:

Stamps: Giddyupabella (see why it reminded me of my pony?!)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Naturals White, and patterned paper from my stash! Yippee!
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics (B97, B95, B93, B91,C7, C5, C3, 0, W1, E00, E07, E21, E29, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, E57, E93)
Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware, 100 yen store ribbon

Are you interested to see where I am at with my Paper Challenge?! I made some MAJOR progress this weekend! I am not sure if I have shared this previously, but I have 4 scrapbooks going at once. One is the "family" album and then I do one for each of my kids. (Yes, by the time the 3rd child's album comes along, I am sick of seeing the same pictures!)

At any rate, it is easy for me to whip out the pages once I have the layout completed in the family album, as I typically copy it in the child's album. Soooo...I completed 25 pages at the crop yesterday! And...I made this 1 card, so that is 26 projects!!!

Paper Challenge Scorecard: 36 projects complete/100

I am thrilled to have some of you playing along! :) Can't wait to hear how you are doing!!

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! Thanks for dropping by to say hello!

Snips and Snails

A blog buddy of mine recently adopted a baby boy, so I got to make a card for her!!
Stamps: Word on Word (SU)
Paper: DCWV Nana's Kids, Brocade Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Versamark, Brocade Blue
Accessories: Clear EP, Making Memories button brads

This stamp set, as with so many I have, had not ever seen ink! (How many of you are in that situation??) Anyway, I loved it! I can't wait to use it again!

Since we are speaking about new life...here is a new beginning for me! As many of you know, I have a little love-hate relationship with paper. Well, no...that is a lie; I just have a LOVE relationship! At any rate, Samantha and I are on a paper diet! We have challenged each other to create 100 projects before we purchase another piece of paper. I can totally do this! I will be updating my blog with my progress. Would you like to join the fun?

Paper Challenge: 10 projects complete/100 (7 scrapbook pages, 3 cards)

Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop

Welcome to the first ever official Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop!

So if you’re feeling the love, give a little shout out to the bloggers in the hop and you just might have a reason to jump for joy!
